For oil portraiture on linen:

Head and Shoulders, plain background $2,800.
Head and Torso, simple to moderate background $3,400.
Full-length, moderate background $8,500.

• Portraits are life-size or just smaller.
• For each additional subject, add 70% of the original cost. Pets are negotiable.
• Prices don’t include travel or shipping to clients over 75 miles away.
• Except for the full-length sized paintings, framing is included in the fee.

Ms. King prefers to meet with the client first in her studio, then in their home. This enables her to envision the painting in its final location and gives her a better knowledge of her client(s) and subject(s). She will paint from life if is appropriate and possible for the subject to pose, or from photographs, taking 100 or more photos per subject, in order that several may be used simultaneously as a reference.
